Curriculum Expectations:
  • Organize my thoughts and information to convey a message
  • Prepare and give an oral presentation on a topic of personal interest
  • Create media works using appropriate technologies
  • Demonstrate an understanding of a variety of spoken texts and media works by asking questions, clarifying meaning, drawing conclusions, and expressing opinions.

Learning Goal & Purpose:

To create and present an oral presentation in french on a topic of personal interest. The purpose is to increase and deepen my knowledge and understanding of my chosen topic and to increase my level of comfort speaking french in front of my peers.

Success Criteria

  • My presentation has a clear purpose (to inform, to entertain, to persuade, to teach).

  • My presentation is organized. It has an introduction, body, and conclusion.

  • My presentation is easy to understand. I spoke clearly with enough volume that the entire class could hear my presentation, I used grade level vocabulary, and I chose an appropriate topic.
